Daniel Arsham. Eroded Surfboard, 2021

Eroded Surfboard is a fully functioning, eroded surfboard made in collaboration with Australian surfboard company Haydenshapes. Made using traditional surfboard foam, resin and fiberglass, this board allows the surfer to see the water below through erosions in the board. Each surfboard is 5'8" × 18.75" × 2.25" and weighs 2.95 kg. Eroded Surfboard comes in bespoke packaging, complete with a wall-mounted display rack, and a pair of white art handling gloves. This is an edition of 500 pieces, and each Eroded Surfboard includes a holographic label verifying its edition number and authenticity.
